Kardex Control Center modules
The high level of flexibility means that different packages or individual modules can easily integrate with the warehouse management system.
Learn more about the various modules Kardex Mlog offers.
The Kardex MBase already contains all system settings including user and operating mode administration, database management, and system data configuration. These are all easily configurable. For example, users administer and control logging on and off times, access authorizations and operating modes.
The basic module serves as a basis and platform for all additional modules. All configurations and the initialization of other software packages take place here. Kardex MBase is, therefore, already equipped with interfaces for both the individual modules of the Kardex Control Center, as well as existing software environments. The browser-capable interface allows full access to the functions, both via an integrated user interface and via pre-defined clients.
Functional range:
- Extensive reporting functions
- Access possible via the server and via predefined clients
- User administration
- Administration of general operating modes
- Output of dialog and error texts
- Language selection, integrated help system, statistics management
- Administration of dialog boxes, database management, and document printouts
- Central administration of configuration
- Audit trail
The system visualization module graphically displays all automated conveyor system components and stacker cranes, as well as their operating status. Kardex MVisu makes it possible to control the material flow system interactively – from context related location data processing through to notifications in the event of a problem with the system. The visualization system connects to the control system’s automation devices via TCP/IP. Data is continuously exchanged between the systems. In addition, HTML5 technology displays plant information on mobile devices and tablets.
Functional range:
- Visualization of conveyor systems, electric overhead conveyors, movement directions in moveable conveyor modules, operating statuses, and configuration of signalling devices
- Context-related location data processing
- Reporting system faults
- Statistics functions relating to transports, plant performance, and availability
- Configurable dashboard for the system’s most important key figures
- Automatic calculation of system availability
The module forms the interface with other higher-level systems as well as the subordinate controls. Using Kardex MCom, different interfaces integrate into the system depending on the application, (e.g., for communicating with modern controls via Ethernet, with various database systems, or for integrating with enterprise resource planning via SAP).
Interfaces:- TCP
- OPC UA
- WebService, WCF
- Database interface for ODBC, Oracle, MS SQL, Pervasive, Ingres
- SAP
- Special extensions are possible
The material flow control system controls conveyor systems and stacker cranes. The Kardex MFlow module tracks all material flows. With an order administration function, route planning and the possibility of manual intervention in the process, Kardex MFlow fulfills all the material flow control system’s requirements.
Functional range:- Control of conveyor systems, stacker cranes, industrial trucks, and electric overhead conveyors
- Emulation of the material flow
- Automatic scanner analysis
- Weight recording and checking
- Display and monitoring of system statuses
- Output of error reports
- Statistical evaluations
- Integration of all other sub trades
Kardex’s web-based interface allows users to view and process warehouse management system orders. User accesses transport orders and, in combination with Kardex WMS, the warehouse management software dialog boxes (e.g., picking dialog or inventory information). Kardex MWork features predefined dialog boxes. Regardless of location, clients can edit these due to their browser capabilities.
Functional range:- User interface with predefined dialog boxes
- Individual adaptation of dialog boxes to customer-specific requirements
- Order processing from warehouse management (Kardex WMS module)
- Entry recording
- Mobile data processing
Intelligent strategies are the foundation for fast and efficient control of intralogistics processes. With the Kardex WMS warehouse management system, it is possible to plan and centrally coordinate storage allocation locations as well as storage and retrieval processes. This is irrespective of the type of storage facility.
Functional range:- Optimized storage location allocation
- Management of storage notifications
- Sequencing
- Deep-lane storage
- Management of ⅔ space storage
- Order management for picking stations, floor conveyor vehicles, and goods issue zones
- Compaction
- Stock level monitoring
- Stock removal orders with automatic release and missing part control
- Blocking and QA handling
- Route planning
Kardex Mlog develops intelligent systems for controlling machines and material flows in order to adapt the dynamics of conveyor systems and stacker cranes to current demands - which also results in saving energy. This regulates start-up behavior and speeds. Surplus energy is then used to drive the axes or fed back into the internal supply network.
Functional range:- Weight optimization for the conveyor systems and stacker cranes
- Route optimization
- Reduces friction and losses in the conveyor systems and stacker cranes
- Recovers energy
- Energy optimization for the component controls
- Adapts dynamics to demands
