As of June 3, René Hoozemans is the new Sales Manager for Switzerland at Kardex Mlog. With this newly created role, the leading provider of integrated material flow systems and high-bay warehouses is expanding its activities in Switzerland. Hoozemans’ most recent role was as regional director for the Swiss subsidiary of a US manufacturer of elevators and escalators. Before that, he worked for 16 years in sales in the intralogistics sector. |
The 56-year-old mechanical engineer sees strong growth potential for Kardex Mlog in the Swiss market. “The square-meter prices will continue to rise in Switzerland, reinforcing the trend toward high-bay warehouses. Consequently, the storage capacities required must be achieved with minimal footprint, which is more cost-efficient and significantly more sustainable,” says Hoozemans. The new sales manager, who is an avid golfer when time permits, sees further revenue and expansion opportunities in the refurbishment of existing warehouses that are starting to age. Kardex Mlog is a recognized specialist in refurbishing complex automated warehouses during ongoing operations, regardless of whether the original plants were constructed by Kardex Mlog or another provider.
Hoozemans, a Swiss national, is attracted by the diversity of the solution portfolio at his new employer. “This allows us to always offer our customers the most efficient material flow and warehouse systems solutions for their specific requirements.”
