Neuberger, a company focused on enhancing building efficiency and comfort, will install Kardex`s newest automated SMD storage solution to optimize intralogistics processes within their warehouse environment, aiming for greater operational effectiveness.
The fully automated storage and picking system includes the delivery of three Kardex Shuttle 500 units equipped with automatic SMD picking by robots. This innovative picking application allows for the efficient and precise handling of SMD reels. Particularly noteworthy is the combination of horizontal reel storage and a robot-based retrieval system, which allows for high density storage and process quality. One of the Kardex Shuttle 500 units is equipped with a Kardex Dry Solution which ensures a controlled environment for electronic components with humidity levels below 5%.
Alongside the forthcoming implementation of the Kardex robotic system for SMD handling and other technological advances, the project addresses specific electronics requirements by integrating the standardized warehouse management and picking software, the Kardex Power Pick Systems (PPS) and the Java Machine Interface System (JMIF) which both significantly boost production efficiency.
In addition to the automated SMD picking solution, eight more Kardex Shuttle 500 units will be installed in other storage areas by Neuberger.
This initiative underscores the commitment of Neuberger and Kardex to future-oriented solutions that not only enhance efficiency but also improve the transparency and flexibility of intralogistics processes.
