One of the largest food logistics companies in Europe, the Nagel Group, commissions Kardex Mlog
Neuenstadt, 12/8/2021 – The food logistics specialist company, Nagel Group, has commissioned Kardex Mlog to install conveying technology to connect its new warehouse at the Group’s Buxheim location with the existing high-bay warehouse and the existing conveyor system. The goal is to ensure a fully automated pallet transport between the new warehouse and the high-bay warehouse. Installation of the new solution is to commence on January 10, 2022 and is scheduled for completion by April 2022.
Construction of the steel platform to connect the new and existing warehouses represents a significant challenge. “Part of the platform will, of course, extend into the existing warehouse and construction must not interfere with operations in any way,” insists project leader Lars Wagner. All the extension work is to take place during ongoing operations. Since 2010, Kardex Mlog has been a preferred supplier to the Nagel Group, one of the largest food logistics companies in Europe. The projects completed jointly to date include construction of a high-bay warehouse at the Group’s location in Reichenbach.
The Nagel Group is a family-owned company specializing in food logistics. The Group employs more than 12,000 people at more than 130 locations throughout Europe. Every day, the Group transports approximately 100,000 food shipments of all sizes and at various temperatures. This makes the unique Nagel network a leader in Germany and also the leading provider of temperature-controlled logistics services throughout Europe.
