  1. Modular Design:
    The Kardex Shuttle is a highly flexible and modular product that can be seamlessly adapted to a company's individual requirements. The Kardex Shuttle can be expanded or adapted at any time without disrupting ongoing operations. This allows you to make efficient use of your storage capacity and flexibly adapt the Kardex Shuttle to changing processes and requirements. Regardless of the height or number of service openings, the modular design of the Kardex Shuttle ensures a high degree of adaptability and future scalability.
  2. Load Capacities and Dimensions:
    It comes in various models catering to different load capacities and sizes. The Kardex Shuttle 250/500, 700, and 1000 models can handle loads up to 560 kg, 725 kg, and 1000 kg per tray, respectively. Tray widths can reach up to 4,050 mm, with standard device heights extending up to 30 m​.
  3. Components:
    • Extractor: Moves trays quickly to and from storage locations.
    • Shutter Door: Protects people, machines, and stored items, and reduces noise.
    • Shelf Rail Modules: Hold trays in place and can provide two trays simultaneously for optimal ergonomics.
    • Safety Light Grid: Stops the unit immediately if the safety barrier is activated​​.
  4. Customization and Options:
    The Kardex Shuttle offers a wide range of add-ons like position indicators, LED navigators, automatic/semi-automatic tray extraction, tray extraction devices for forklift operation, double tray functions, and ESD versions for electrostatic-sensitive devices. These options can be integrated either before or after installation, providing great flexibility. The units, which are equipped with an additional seismic absorption structure, can be installed directly next to each other, ensuring enhanced stability and resilience. This makes the units effectively seismic-proof, providing protection in earthquake-prone areas.
